Outwardly it appears as an elegant table on tapering legs, but inside hides a wonderful drinks bar, which is revealed when the top is opened. As the lid is opened, on a bellows action to reveal a rise-and-fall interior, containing a collection of crystal glass: 11 x tumblers, 4 x sherry, 3 x decanters, 1 x bowl plus a cigar box. 3 x decanters are in a lockable tantalus. Bears the makers plate of the eminent maker ‘Maple & Co’ (Tottenham Court Rd.) Label also states ‘Importe D’Angleterre’ which would indicate that this would have been for sale in their French store.
