Antique Mahogany Edwardian Cylinder Bureau Desk by ‘Edwards & Roberts’, English, 1890

Stunning Edwardian fiddleback mahogany Cylinder Bureau Desk by ‘Edwards & Roberts’,  Inlaid with high quality marquetry work depicting floral swags, musical instruments and large flower decoration.

As large main drawer is opened, the bureau top opens to reveal a row of 3 x smaller drawers and long pen tray.  Flap opens and sits on the main drawer to generate the leather topped writing area of desk, covered in embossed leather.

This is a truly magnificent quality piece of furniture by the well-known and much sought after Victorian cabinet maker and retailer Edwards & Roberts of Wardour Street, London.  Stamped by maker.
