Antique Kingwood Bureau De Dame, Writing Desk, French, 1880

Magnificent Kingwood Writing Desk, Bureau de Dame, the top section having a bank of two drawers either side, and a fretwork gallery, in between the top layer of drawers is a shelf , backed by a small mirror, and a large single central drawer below.

The desk surface has a central writing panel inlaid with leather. Front, top and either side is decorated with a beautiful hand-painted porcelain Sevres plaque. Adorned with highly decorative gilt bronze handles, mounts, guard edge and key escutcheons, on four cabriole legs.  With Key.
