Pair of 19th Century Marble and Ormolu Cassolettes / Urns, French C. 1880

Magnificent pair of banded marble and gilt bronze cassolettes. The ovoid-shaped marble bodies with particularly well cast Swan handles, with wings outstretched.  On ormolu square base, with more naturalistic leaf & berry mounts. Flame finials. Marble colour: Purple/pink tones.  Spectacular quality and craftsmanship.
